I just finished color correcting 100+ photos from the Fourth of July. Have you ever done this at once? Wow, holy time suck. Also, my new Macbook Pro got a workout (it's all hot and sweaty as I type this).
A color theme kept popping up throughout my work, and not surprisingly it is red, white and blue, so I thought I'd put them all together in a tidy montage.
Incidentally we had a lovely Fourth, starting out with a drive to a few parks on the Hill and ending with a barbecue with friends. Everyone was in great spirits -- even me, and I was nursing a head cold that I caught from none other than Miss Alexa.
After everyone left and Alexa was asleep, the fireworks started outside and I jogged down to the edge of our little hill and watched the displays of amateurs citywide from my safe little vantage point. Maybe next year Alexa will stay up late enough to see the spectacle.
