On my Instagram:
On my playlist: The Man Who by Travis and an old 1980s mix CD I found. Also, just listening to the soundtrack of my life on vacation: laughter, funny stories, Alexa jabbering and trying to sing the ABC song.
On my plate: I've made it through 22 salads in 22 days. It's been challenging. The first week or so was interesting, coming up with different flavor profiles, but trying to work in a salad a day while on vacation is really tough! One day I completely forgot and had to compile a few greens at the last second with a handful of roasted veggies that were already on my plate. Other vacation foods that hit the spot: vegetable korma, fish tacos, sweet dark cherries, dutch chocolate gelato, deep dish veggie pizza, watermelon.
On my Kindle: Well, I'm back on the waiting list for 1Q84. The good news? I'm 40 percent of the way done. The bad news? I still have 60 percent left, and the next rental will be my fourth. Good grief. I've never taken so long to finish a book in my life. It will not beat me! *Shakes fists at the sky* While I wait for my number to come up (again), I'm starting to read A Discovery of Witches. Anyone else read this one?
On my TV: We watched Wanderlust yesterday. If you're ever on the lookout for a bunch of people running naked in slow-motion, look no further.
On my wish list: Some wire baskets. I have an idea that might be even more awesome than a large-scale painting.
On my mind: Missing my Dad already, excited to sleep in my bed tonight after a week on an air mattress, looking forward to seeing Darren and Kristi next weekend, and other, more mundane things including what I'm packing for our lunches tomorrow. It's always so hard to say goodbye to a vacation and get back into the swing of everyday life. Today I felt like I was walking in Jell-o.
