On my playlist: I pulled out some CDs this week: Girls Can Tell by Spoon and Mind Games by John Lennon. Both take me back to different times. This song especially got my attention this week. What new albums have I missed in the past couple of months? As always I welcome recommendations.
On my plate: Lots and lots of avocado toast. For breakfast, lunch or dinner.
On my Kindle: Guess which book came back up for library loan? That's right. 1Q84. I'm starting at 47% complete, and I swear on my morning coffee that I will finish it during this loan because I absolutely refuse to check a book out of the library FIVE TIMES. A paperback awaits at the end of my Murakami journey, a palate cleanser of sorts: The Beach Street Knitting Society and Yarn Club. I love drastic juxtapositions.
On my TV: I'm finally give Breaking Bad a go. It took a few episodes, but I'm finally getting used to seeing Bryan Cranston in his tighty whities. Dude takes advantage of any opportunity to remove his pants, right? But it's all so compelling! Equally compelling, in a 90210-meets-Twin Peaks kind of way? Pretty Little Liars. Trust me.
On my wish list: Remember a few weeks ago how I was really excited for those yellow flats from Anthro? Well, they canceled my order. I sent them a strongly worded letter about how they should only "sell" items they have in stock (imagine that!). So I'm still on the hunt for yellow flats. Feel free to post or send me links to any and every yellow shoe you find.
On my mind: H and I have a date night coming up. What should we do? Date nights are so infrequent that the dinner-and-a-movie variety just doesn't feel special enough.
