This is what we wore Saturday to hit up the park and do a little shopping. We tried to put Alexa down for her nap beforehand, but the little chatterbox wouldn't rest. So we scooped her out of her crib and dressed ourselves before we had a chance to think better of it.

I'm not wearing anything terribly original here. I'm sure you've seen everything on this blog at some point, but hey, that's life.

Alexa is wearing a dress, or at least it was a dress three months ago. Now it's more tunic length, but it's so airy and comfortable it was perfect for today's outing. Her feet are finally big enough for the shoes Sara bought her at Target a few months ago. Unfortunately, Sara, I hate to tell you that she lost one of the shoes at ... where else? Target. We retraced our footsteps throughout the store. Never to be found again. Much like the 5,000 binkies we've lost in stores in the past year.

What is it with kids and losing things in stores? I was still lamenting the loss of the shoe as I was unpacking our bags from Target. I pulled a little touchy-feely book about animals. I was perplexed.

"Honey, where did this come from?" I asked H.

"You had it in the cart," he said.

"No, I didn't."

We looked at Alexa, who managed to sneak in a book while we weren't looking and in between tantrums. And with one shoe on.

  1. It seems we manage to lose and gain a lot of things at Target. Little One has lost more than one lovey in the store lately... It's no fun trying to find a replacement!!!

  2. Alexa has two loveys that she uses interchangeably (thank god). I rarely let her take them out of her room, though, because I fear having to find replacements. I can't imagine trying to get her to sleep one night without her blankie.
